Snowdrops we, petals three, you may see,
White, green, gold, we unfold, in the cold.

Week
of theatre
I’m a
German Waldorf mother since 10 years at the Waldorf
school in Landsberg (45 minutes south-west of Munich)
and I’m doing theatre professionally. Since 5 years
I’ve been
organizing German youth groups (kids coming from all
over Germany and from various Waldorf schools) going
for a week to England during their summer vacation
doing a theatre-language project. The kids are
between 11 and 17 years old, the groups size is about
18-24 kids.
This year I rented the youth hostel in Lizard,
Southwest Cornwall for two weeks.
The weeks to choose from are either August 16-23 or
August 25-September 1.
This year I would like to do mixed groups,
German and English kids, since they could not
only get to know each other and their culture
but also exchange their language. We have a
German "trainer" as well as an English one. We
play theatre every day, go to the beach, play
football and volleyball, visit sightseeing spots,
cook together and will perform a theatre piece the
end of the week. Of course the German kids would have
to speak English and the English, if wanted, could
talk German (if they already had some at school, they
could stay with their native language as well, it’s
optional).
Last year we had a mixed group and it was so
much fun for the kids and the learning aspect about
each other is so worthy. My contact:
